The following First Aid Kits are made by Adventure Medical Kits (AMK), and in our opinion, are some of the best kits available for survival and outdoor activities. This section is followed by some additional First Aid Items which can be used to supplement or be added to an available kit.

This is a great little kit to throw in a small survival kit. QUIKCLOT® SPORT - 25G

QuikClot® Sport - 25G is a must for any first aid or emergency kit. QuikClot® Sport stops moderate to severe bleeding until further medical help is available. It is a chemically inert material in a mesh bag that speeds coagulation of blood, resulting in a stable clot that stops bleeding. It stops bleeding quicker than conventional methods and is safe to leave on wounds until more advanced medical help arrives. Package contains a 3.5" x 3.5" (25g) bag of QuikClot.

EXTREME LENGTH BANDAGE

When your out in the wilds, one of the hardest things to do is keep a bandage on your finger. They get dirty, wet, and then fall off. Not these! These are Extreme Length Bandages by Curad. I have been using them for years and thought other people might want to add them to their First Aid Kits. As you can see, the pad is set to one side, with the other side being much longer than normal bandages. They wrap around your finger twice to stay put. The breathable fabric stretches with your skin and the innovative adhesive stays on strong. They come packaged 20 to a box.

UNCLE BILL'S SLIVER GRIPPER TWEEZERS

Uncle Bill's Sliver Gripper are excellent tweezers made from high quality stainless steel. They are indispensable for removing stingers, thorns, slivers, etc. Unlike other tweezers that are made by spot-welding two pieces of metal together, Uncle Bill's Sliver Gripper Tweezers are crafted from a single piece of spring tempered stainless steel. SAM® SPLINT

The SAM® Splint is a flexible 4.25" x 36" sandwich of soft aluminum and closed cell polyethylene foam that, when folded in specific ways, creates a rigid yet comfortable splint used to support and immobilize injuries and fractures of the extremities and neck. The SAM® Splint can be folded for storage, or rolled up easily to the size of an "ACE" wrap, and with proper care and cleaning, can be used over and over again. The possibility of sprains, dislocations and broken bones is too great to ignore. The immediate immobilization of the injured area not only reduces pain but can frequently lessen the secondary damage suffered while waiting for and during transit to a medical facility. Every substantial First-Aid kit should have one.
