As you can tell from our product sections, we highly recommend that you build your own survival kit so you are familiar with its components.  However, we get calls from some people who indicate they need something already put together, or a starter kit that they can expand upon.  The following are some kits we have designed and offer.  The kits we design and build are made only from quality components, and are packaged with care.  We also offer a few kits from other manufacturers.

The MINIMALIST™ POCKET SURVIVAL KIT

     Designed and packaged by Survival Resources, the Minimalist™ Pocket Survival Kit is about as small as it gets, and is ideal for a jacket pocket, small fanny pack, or a purse.  It provides items to fulfill four of the major component groups.  It includes a Mini-Match™ mini-magnesium firestarter and 2 Tinder-Quick™ fire tabs for fire starting, a Whistle for signaling, a 20mm Button Compass for navigation, a folding pocket saw (it should be note that the saw is now orange - not red) from the tool group, a mini lead pencil, and 2 sheets of water-proof paper.  This kit doesn't include all the component groups, but it is based on the philosophy that "something is better than nothing."  And as discussed below, it can be supplemented to include the other component groups.  The vial measures 3-3/8" long, by 1" in diameter.  Weight: 1.1 oz.

Note: The above  kit provides items from the component groups; fire, signaling, navigation, and tools.  We highly recommend that you always carry a good quality knife.  You should also carry something from the remainder of the component groups: Shelter (such as a survival blanket and an emergency poncho), Light (such as a Photon Micro-Light II or Princeton-Tec Blast), Water (a water bottle and purification tablets), First Aid (such as a pocket medic), Food Collection (brass snare wire and a small fishing kit), as well as

some misc., multi-purpose devices.  With the addition of these items, you will be well on your way to

being prepared for an emergency situation.

NPSK-24010 - NECK POUCH SURVIVAL KIT™

Designed, developed, and packaged by Survival Resources™, the NPSK-24010 Neck Pouch Survival Kit™ was designed so you could easily carry a basic survival kit around your neck or in a pack or pocket.  It is an individual, mini kit, packaged inside a sturdy 5.2 mil. clear, zip-closure pouch, with grommets at the top for easy carry as a neck pouch.  It is supplied with 3' of parachute cord (that doesn't sound like much, but if you take out the 7 inner strands, it gives you 21' with an additional 3' from the shroud).  We purposely left room inside the pouch so you could add a few small items, such as water purification tablets and a water bag.  This will be discussed later on this page.

The Neck Pouch Survival Kit is a result of our successful Pocket Tin Survival Kit.  Some of our customers asked if all the components of the tin could be packaged into a soft pouch.  We thought about it and thought, why not.  It could be used as a neck pouch if we added grommets to the top, or used as a pouch for your pocket.  This is the result of the softer packaging and the components are the exact same as provided in out Pocket Tin Survival Kit.  For much more information & photos, click HERE.

FISHING KIT, EMERGENCY, SMALL

     Designed and packaged by Survival Resources for fresh water fishing, this Small Emergency Fishing Kit is a quality item made with name-brand components.  It is housed in a snap-cap vial measuring only 3-3/8" long by 1" in diameter, so it will fit in most small survival kits.

     Many kits out there are provided with monofilament line which has terrible memory when you try to unwind it from a tight bobbin.  This leaves you with a mess when you try to use it.

     Therefore, we started our kit with 50' of Power-Pro® 20 lb. braided line, which can be wound on a bobbin without retaining memory.

     Next, instead of adding a razor blade, we include an actual folding razor knife which can be closed for safety when not in use.  We also include a 6" Berkley® Wire Wound Leader and 2 Eagle Claw Size 10 snelled hooks with leaders.  A complete list of components is provided below:

BRUNTON POCKET SURVIVAL KIT

No larger than a credit card, the Brunton Pocket Survival Kit provides essential information on three waterproof cards.  This self-contained package helps if you get lost, hungry, hurt, or cold.  It also includes the Brunton patented reusable floating disk compass and Fresnel magnifying lens.  These cards, compass and magnifier can be carried in a pocket or throw one in each of your kits.  It measures 3.5" x 2.3" x 0.1" and weighs only .5 oz.
